Boulder Wall Drainage Done Right Before the First Stone Goes In

When we build a boulder wall, we don't just stack rock and call it good. The work that happens before the first stone gets placed is what determines whether that wall holds up for years or starts shifting within a season or two.

That means cutting back the slope cleanly, laying in the drainage pipe along the base of the cut, and setting everything up so water has somewhere to go before it ever gets a chance to push against the wall.
